Natural Earth Paint Canada Hand-Crafted Glass Paint Muller | Pigment Mixing Tool for Oil, Acrylic & Watercolour — 2 Sizes
Hand-Crafted Glass Paint Muller by Natural Earth Paint Canada
Experience the unparalleled paint mixing process with expertly hand-crafted glass mullers, designed and produced by dedicated local artisans. Glass mullers are the ultimate tool for achieving the perfect paint consistency and texture — ensuring every pigment particle is completely coated in oil, preventing air pockets, and enhancing the vibrancy and longevity of your artwork.
Each muller is individually hand-made from tempered glass with a perfectly flat grinding surface. Because they are hand-crafted, each piece is slightly unique. Made in Canada by local artisans.
Available Sizes
- Small muller — approx. 5cm diameter base × 6.35cm height (2” × 2.5”), 100g. Perfect for precise control and smaller quantities of paint.
- Large muller — approx. 10cm diameter base × 12cm height (4” × 4.75”), 900g. Ideal for larger projects and mixing greater volumes of paint.
Note: Due to the nature of hand-made glass, measurements are approximate and may vary slightly between pieces.
Compatible With
- Oil paints (with walnut oil, linseed oil, or other drying oils)
- Watercolours and gouache (with gum arabic)
- Acrylic paints and mediums
- Encaustics and enamel paints
- Any pigment-and-binder combination
How to Use
Place a small quantity of powdered pigment on a glass palette or smooth surface. Add a small amount of your painting medium (walnut oil, gum arabic, acrylic medium, etc.). Use the muller to grind and disperse the pigment in circular motions, applying even pressure, until a smooth and consistent paint is achieved.
Safety Note
Keep your workspace free of flammable materials. Avoid working in direct sunlight — glass can act as a magnifying lens and create a fire hazard. Handle with care and store safely when not in use.
